Climate Change Adaptation Consulting
The North Rhine-Westphalia State Office of Nature, Environment, and Climate (LANUK NRW) has launched the Climate Change Adaptation Consulting NRW, which aims to provide direct support to cities, municipalities, and counties in North Rhine-Westphalia. The objective is to support the local authorities in their efforts to become active in the field of climate change adaptation or to successfully continue on their path of increased resilience.
The Climate Change Adaptation Consulting NRW extends the existing data and information services of the LANUV NRW around the Climate Atlas. A comprehensive set of maps displaying the current and future possible climate for many climate parameters as well as climate impact maps covering flood hazard risk or heat load in urban areas are provided by the Climate Atlas NRW. A vast set of indicators monitoring the state of climate, its impact and adaptation efforts is already supplied by the Climate Atlas NRW platform as well.
With the new task of Climate Change Adaptation Consulting the LANUK NRW presents itself as the go-to trustworthy partner for cities, municipalities, and districts in North Rhine-Westphalia on all matters of climate change and climate change adaptation.
